## Policy AM-211-1 Overlap in Employment

Overlap in employment is a condition that exists when two employees occupy the same position at the same time for training purposes.

Overlap in employment up to twenty (20) working days may be granted in special cases is sufficient funds are available. A request for the overlap and a cut-off ticket must be submitted to the Civil Service Commission at least ten (10) working days before the effective date of the new appointment. Overlap of greater than twenty (20) working days must have prior approval of the Board of Estimates.
