## § 40-3 General Board functions.

Balt., Md., Code art. 1, § 40-3 (2026)

(a) The Board is responsible to provide for hearing officers or panels of Board members to conduct hearings on contested environmental citations.

(b) The Board is responsible to provide for an opportunity to appeal to the Board or to a panel of the Board from the decision of a hearing officer.

(c) With the assistance of its Executive Director and staff, the Board is responsible for:

  (1) all actions necessary or appropriate to collect fines imposed under this subtitle; and

  (2) all bookkeeping, accounting, and revenue reconciliations.
