Funds received from an intestate’s estate: shall be held subject to the order of the Board of School Commissioners of the City of Baltimore, in like manner as the funds derived from taxation for said purposes are held; and are declared to be a separate and distinct revenue, to be applied to the use and support of the public schools, in addition to the annual tax levied and the annual appropriation made for that purpose.
