§ 2-2 Enhanced penalties.

Balt., Md., Code art. 19, § 2-2 (2026)

When a defendant is found guilty of assault or assault and battery on an elderly individual and the defendant is charged under this section:

(1)

the court shall impose a sentence of 12 months imprisonment; and

(2)

the court may order restitution for any personal injury or property damage suffered by the elderly individual.
