In this section, “missile” means any object capable of being thrown or used as a projectile, but does not include empty paper wrappers. This section does not apply to a member of a team or an official participating as a principal in a sporting event while engaged in the course of conduct required by that sporting event. It is unlawful for any person to toss, throw, fling, or project, or to cause the tossing, throwing, flinging, or projecting of any missile:on or in the direction of any member of a team or official participating as a principal in a sporting event; or on any playing field or arena during the course of a sporting event. Any person who violates a provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 or to imprisonment for not more than 12 months or to both fine and imprisonment for each offense. It is unlawful for any person to offer for sale or resale or to possess for sale or resale any Preakness Stakes ticket that:is forged or counterfeit; or is in any way printed or issued without the consent of the Maryland Jockey Club of Baltimore City, Inc. Any person who violates a provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 for each offense. It is unlawful for any person to operate an aircraft over or around the outer limits of M&T Bank Stadium or Oriole Park at Camden Yards for any advertising or commercial purposes. Any person who violates a provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine of not more than $1,000.
