§ 48-3 Preakness Stakes tickets.LinkCopy Citation
(a)Prohibited conduct.
It is unlawful for any person to offer for sale or resale or to possess for sale or resale any Preakness Stakes ticket that:
(1)
is forged or counterfeit; or
(2)
is in any way printed or issued without the consent of the Maryland Jockey Club of Baltimore City, Inc.
(b)Penalties.
(1)
Any person who violates a provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 for each offense.
(2)
Each ticket that is offered or possessed in violation of this section is a separate offense.
