## § 59-22 Switchblade knives – Possession or sale, etc.

Balt., Md., Code art. 19, § 59-22 (2026)

(a) No person may sell, carry, or possess any knife with an automatic spring or other device for opening or closing the blade, commonly known as a switchblade knife.

(b) Any person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 or to imprisonment for not more than 12 months or to both fine and imprisonment for each offense.
