## § 12-12 Retention of records.

Balt., Md., Code art. 2, § 12-12 (2026)

For at least 3 years after the date of a transfer, the dealer shall hold all records of the transaction:

(1) at the dealer’s place of business; or

(2) if otherwise specifically required by the dealer’s property insurer, at some other suitable location designated by the dealer and from which the dealer can produce the records as and when needed by the Police Department and the Department of Consumer Protection and Business Licensing.
