## § 10-6 Damage caused by City trees.

Balt., Md., Code art. 26, § 10-6 (2026)

(a) If the damage to a footway was clearly caused by trees owned by the City, then the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is responsible for the cost of the necessary improving, grading, paving, repaving, or repairing.

(b) The question of responsibility may be determined at the hearing and any appeal taken by the property owner, as authorized in this subtitle.

(c) In any fiscal year, the City’s obligation under this section may not exceed the amount appropriated in that fiscal year for these purposes.
