## § 16-22 School roadways.

Balt., Md., Code art. 31, § 16-22 (2026)

(a) Where the Board of School Commissioners and the Director of Transportation jointly designate particular public school properties, the roadways on those properties that are open to the use of the public are, on the placing of appropriate traffic-control devices, subject to the same vehicle and traffic laws, rules, and regulations that apply to highways within the City.

(b) Nothing herein contained shall be construed as dedicating the aforementioned roadways by the City or as meaning that any City or State agency other than the Department of Education of the City of Baltimore shall defray or aid in defraying the costs of maintaining or marking the roadways.
