§ 16-101 Purpose.

Balt., Md., Code art. 32, § 16-101 (2026)

The off-street parking and loading regulations of this title are intended to:

(1)

provide accessible, attractive, secure, and well-maintained off-street parking and loading areas; and

(2)

increase public safety by reducing congestion of public streets;

(3)

encourage the use of alternative modes of transportation where appropriate; and

(4)

ensure that parking requirements are tailored to maintain pedestrian environments and sensitive to the urban fabric of the City.
