Bicycle parking spaces must be provided as indicated in <em>Table 16-705: Required Bicycle Spaces</em>. No bicycle parking is required for uses not listed in <em>Table 16-705</em>. Structures under 2,500 square feet in gross floor area are exempt from bicycle parking requirements. In all cases where only 1 of either or both a long-term or short-term bicycle parking space would be required by a<em> Table 16-705</em> calculation, a minimum of 2 long-term or short-term spaces, as the case may be, must be provided. After the first 50 bicycle parking spaces are provided, additional bicycle parking spaces required are at one-half of the space-per-unit listed. If the expected need for bicycle parking for a particular use is uncertain due to unknown or unusual operating characteristics of the use, the Director of Planning may authorize the deferral of up to 50% of the bicycle parking spaces.
