§ 7-302 Purpose of Floodplain Overlay District.LinkCopy Citation
The Floodplain (“FP”) Overlay Zoning District regulates the placement and use of structures and the use of land in the floodplain, with the design towards:
(1)
protecting human life and health;
(2)
minimizing damage to public and private property;
(3)
preventing or minimizing future flood damage;
(4)
protecting the public water supply and sanitary sewage disposal systems;
(5)
preserving natural drainage systems; and
(6)
reducing financial burdens imposed on the City and its citizens.
