The Floodplain (“FP”) Overlay Zoning District regulates the placement and use of structures and the use of land in the floodplain, with the design towards: protecting human life and health; minimizing damage to public and private property; preventing or minimizing future flood damage; protecting the public water supply and sanitary sewage disposal systems; preserving natural drainage systems; and reducing financial burdens imposed on the City and its citizens.
