## § 40-27 Limitations of actions.

Balt., Md., Code art. 5, § 40-27 (2026)

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, debarment proceedings under this title must be instituted within 5 years after:

  (1) the conviction or judgment that constitutes cause for debarment has become final;

  (2) the admission that constitutes cause for debarment has been made; or

  (3) the occurrence of any other event that constitutes a cause for debarment.

(b) Debarment proceedings may be brought after the period set forth in subsection (a) of this section if they are instituted within 1 year of when the Board discovered or, by the exercise of ordinary diligence, should have discovered the grounds for debarment.
