The Department must:accept and investigate complaints from interested persons about erosion and sediment control issues; conduct an initial investigation within 3 working days from receipt of the complaint; notify the complainant of the initial investigation and findings within 7 days from receipt of the complaint; and take appropriate action when violations are discovered during the course of the complaint investigation. The Department may also undertake, on its own initiative, investigations of suspected erosion and sediment control issues on all properties. The Department must post on its website the Department’s findings on all investigations, whether initiated by interested persons or on the Department’s own initiative. Ord. 13-095
