§ 10-603 Other prohibited animals.LinkCopy Citation
(a)Commissioner may prohibit.
In the rules and regulations adopted under <cite data-path="|health|§2-106">§ 2-106 {“Rules and regulations”} of this article</cite>, the Commissioner may prohibit other animals from being kept in the City as necessary or appropriate to protect the health, safety, or welfare of the public.
(b)Keeping prohibited.
Except as specified in subsection (c) of this section, no person may keep or allow to be kept on that person’s premises any animal that the Commissioner prohibits under subsection (a) of this section.
(c)Exceptions.
This subsection does not apply to:
(1)
an animal show or zoological park licensed under this title and regulated by a State of Maryland or federal agency; or
(2)
a laboratory where scientific research is carried out under regulation of a Maryland or federal agency.
