## Rule 5-1 Seating and offices

Balt., Md., Council Rules r. 5-1 (2026)

(a) Assignment. Councilmembers shall occupy the seats in the Council Chamber and the offices that the President assigns them.

(b) Speaking and voting. No Councilmember may speak or vote except from that member’s assigned seat.
