Sec. 1A-202. Supervision of departments and principal offices.

Each department and principal office is under the immediate direction of the head of the department or principal offices including any department or office employee holding a position in the Executive Branch designated by law as a non-merit position.

Departments and principal offices are also subject to the general supervision of the County Executive and the Chief Administrative Officer.

Heads of departments and principal offices appoint the merit system employees of the departments and principal offices.
