Sec. 2-368. Purpose of DivisionLinkCopy Citation
(a)
The purpose of the creation of an urban area under this Division shall be as follows:
(1)
Provide for the construction or reconstruction of roads, bridges, alleys, streets, sidewalks and curb and gutters, with storm drainage incident to such construction or improvement.
(2)
Provide for municipal functions and services such as street lights, street signs, street cleaning and maintenance and garbage collection, removal and disposition.
(3)
Provide for the construction, maintenance and operation of storm drainage systems for the control and disposition of surface waters.
(b)
Such improvements, services and functions may be provided for the entire urban area, for a suburban area or for such portions thereof as the Council may from time to time determine.
