Sec. 21-155. Recycling surchargeLinkCopy Citation
(a)
There shall be a recycling surcharge on each ton of refuse disposed of at any sanitary landfill site in the County, payable to the County, for the purpose of assisting with the recycling program of the County, including, but not limited to, funding, development, advertisement, and maintenance of County, municipal, multifamily, commercial, and industrial facility recycling programs and initiatives.
(b)
The recycling surcharge shall be set in accordance with the provisions of Section 21-137.01 of this Code.
(c)
The operator of each landfill shall collect the fees and transmit them to the County in accordance with such procedures as may be established by the Director.
