## Sec. 3-139. Defecation; Removal of excrement

Prince George's County, Md., Code § 3-139 (2026)

(a) No person owning, keeping, or having custody of an animal, except a service animal, shall allow or permit excrement of such animal to remain on public property, including streets as defined in Section 1-102(a)(34).

(b) No person shall allow defecating on private property without the consent of the owner or occupant thereof.

(c) The person owning, keeping, or having custody of the animal shall immediately remove the excrement deposited by the animal.
