The Board may impose a fine not exceeding $2,500 or suspend a license or both for a violation that is a cause for suspension of a license. A penalty imposed under subsection (a) of this section: is in addition to and does not limit any other penalty for the same violation; and is independent of any related court action based on the same violation. Fines collected under this section shall be paid into the general fund of the county.
