In this title: the definitions in § 1–101 of this article apply without exception or variation; and the following words have the meanings indicated. “Board” means the Board of License Commissioners for St. Mary’s County. “County” means St. Mary’s County. “Taxpayer” means a resident who pays real estate or income tax to the county.

This title applies only in St. Mary’s County.

The County Commissioners may regulate by ordinance the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public property, including buildings, grounds, streets, highways, alleys, sidewalks, and other structures or roads on land in the county owned by: the county; the county board of education; or the State.

A copy of any legislation concerning alcoholic beverages enacted by the County Commissioners under this title shall be sent to the Department of Legislative Services, 90 State Circle, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
