## Title 16. Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Management Companies, and Home Inspectors

### Subtitle 5. Certification of Real Estate Appraisers

#### Section 16-501

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this title or Sec.Sec. 10-14A-03 and 10-14B-03 of the State Government Article, an individual shall be certified by the Commission to provide certified real estate appraisal services before the individual may provide certified real estate appraisal services in the State.

(b) Notwithstanding subsection (a) of this section, a licensed real estate appraiser who is not certified may:

  (1) help a certified real estate appraiser to prepare a certified appraisal report; and

  (2) cosign the report.
