Unless a license is renewed for a 1–year term as provided in this section, the license expires on the first April 30 after its effective date. At least 1 month before a license issued under this subtitle expires, the issuing official shall mail to the licensee, at the last known address of the licensee, a renewal notice that states: the date on which the current license expires; the date by which the issuing official must receive the renewal application for the renewal to be issued and mailed before the license expires; and the amount of the renewal fee. Before a license issued under this subtitle expires, the licensee may renew it for an additional 1–year term, if the licensee: otherwise is entitled to be licensed; submits to the issuing official a renewal application on the form that the issuing official requires; and pays to the issuing official: the license fee required under § 16–204 of this subtitle; and if the license is issued by the Executive Director, the renewal fee required under § 16–204(h) of this subtitle. The issuing official shall renew the license of each licensee who meets the requirements of this section.
