Title 3. Economic Development and Business Resources

Subtitle 7

(a)

In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b)

“Program” means the Maryland Workforce Launch Pilot Program.

(c)

“Qualified business entity” means a business entity that:

(1)

does not have a physical location in the State;

(2)

is in active negotiations with the Department to establish a location in the State from outside the State; and

(3)

enters into an agreement with the Department to participate in the Program.

(d)

“Strategic industry” means an industry sector identified by the Department in the State’s economic strategic plan.
