Each year, the Department shall collect: Data on teacher candidate race, gender, and linguistic status; Data on teacher candidate status and retention; Spending by category; A summary of teacher candidate recruitment methods; and If applicable, the hiring status and retention data of Program graduates. On or before July 1, 2026, and each July 1 thereafter, the Department shall report on the data collected under subsection (a) of this section to the General Assembly, in accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government Article. In issuing reports under this section, the Department shall make reasonable efforts to anonymize the data to protect the privacy of teacher candidates.
