In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. “Eligible individual” means an individual who: Is a resident of the State; Is identified by an otolaryngologist or a licensed audiologist as having a hearing loss; and Is under the age of 21 years; and Has not graduated from high school. “Licensed audiologist” means an individual who is licensed to practice audiology under Title 2 of the Health Occupations Article. “Loan Bank” means the Hearing Aid and Language and Communication Video Loan Bank. “Otolaryngologist” means an individual who: Is licensed to practice medicine under Title 14 of the Health Occupations Article; and Specializes in otolaryngology. “Program” means the Hearing Aid and Language and Communication Video Loan Bank Program.
