§ 9.9-106

This section does not apply to a community school that receives funding under § 5–223 of this article.

A local school system shall review and approve a community school.

A community school may not be implemented without the approval of a local school system.

Local governments are expected to demonstrate support for a community school through meaningful partnerships, the adoption of supportive policy, and assistance that is supplemental to and does not supplant existing efforts.
