The board of directors of an authority may: Acquire, lease as a lessee, hold, and use any interest in any property or franchise that is necessary or desirable to carry out the purposes of the authority; Sell, lease as a lessor, transfer, or otherwise dispose of any interest in any property or franchise of the authority; and Acquire any right in land or water right in connection with land by gift, purchase, or eminent domain. To condemn an interest in property that is owned by a political subdivision, an authority must obtain the consent of the governing body of the political subdivision.
