In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. “Abuse” has the meaning stated in § 4-501(b)(1) of this title. “Domestic violence” means abuse occurring between: current or former spouses or cohabitants; persons who have a child in common; or persons currently or formerly involved in a dating relationship. “Domestic violence program” is a program established in accordance with § 4-515 of this title. “Local team” means the multidisciplinary and multiagency domestic violence fatality review team established for a county in accordance with this subtitle. “Serious physical injury” has the meaning stated in § 3-201 of the Criminal Law Article.
