The Department may contribute to the support of a child formerly under foster care after the child is adopted. The support may include payment for: maintenance costs; medical, dental, and surgical expenses; psychiatric and psychological expenses; and any other cost necessary for the child’s care and well-being. The amount and duration of the support may vary according to the needs of the child and the income of the adoptive parents.
