The Secretary: Is responsible for the operation of hereditary and congenital disorders programs within the rules, regulations, and standards that the Department adopts; Shall disburse and collect any funds available to the Department; Shall enforce the rules, regulations, and standards that the Department adopts; and Shall keep the Advisory Council informed of: The progress of hereditary and congenital disorders programs; and Any need for a change in the Department’s rules, regulations, and standards.
