## Title 14. Physicians

### Subtitle 5C. Polysomnographic Technologists

#### Section 14-5C-08

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle or Sec.Sec. 10-14A-03 and 10-14B-03 of the State Government Article, an individual shall be licensed by the Board before the individual may practice polysomnography in this State.

(b) This section does not apply to:

  (1) A student enrolled in an education program under Sec. 14-5C-09(c)(3) of this subtitle while practicing polysomnography in that program;

  (2) A respiratory care practitioner who was licensed by the Board to practice respiratory care on or before December 31, 2012, and whose duties include practicing polysomnography; or

  (3) A polysomnographic technologist employed in the service of the federal government while practicing within the scope of the employment.
