## Title 14. Physicians

### Subtitle 5E. Perfusionists

#### Section 14-5E-08

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle or Sec.Sec. 10-14A-03 and 10-14B-03 of the State Government Article, an individual shall be licensed by the Board before the individual may practice perfusion in this State.

(b) This section does not apply to:

  (1) A student enrolled in an education program under Sec. 14-5E-09(c)(2) of this subtitle while practicing perfusion in that program; or

  (2) A perfusionist employed in the service of the federal government while practicing within the scope of the employment.
