A person who violates § 15–401 or § 15–402 of this subtitle: Is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both; and Shall lose licensure as a physician assistant under this title. In addition to the penalties under subsection (a) of this section, a person who violates § 15–401 of this subtitle may be subject to a civil penalty assessed by a disciplinary panel in an amount not exceeding $5,000. In addition to the penalties under paragraph (1) of this subsection, a person who violates § 15–309 of this title may be subject to a civil penalty assessed by a disciplinary panel in an amount not exceeding $100. The Board shall pay any civil penalty collected under this subsection into the Board of Physicians Fund.
