(a)
Except as otherwise provided in this title, unless a person is licensed under this title, the person may not practice as an environmental health specialist.
(b)
Unless a person is licensed under this title, the person may not use the title “environmental health specialist” or “licensed environmental health specialist” or the initials “E.H.S.” or “L.E.H.S.” after the name of the person or any other title with the intent to represent that the person is licensed to practice as an environmental health specialist.

A person who violates any provision of § 21–301 of this title or § 21–401 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or both.
