An individual shall be certified as a nursing assistant by the Board before the individual may: Use the title “certified nursing assistant”; Use the initials “C.N.A.” after the name of the individual; or Represent to the public that the individual is certified as a nursing assistant. An individual shall be certified as a medication technician by the Board before the individual may: Use the title “certified medication technician”; Use the initials “C.M.T.” after the name of the individual; or Represent to the public that the individual is certified as a medication technician. An individual shall be certified as a dialysis technician by the Board before the individual may: Use the title “certified dialysis technician”; Use the initials “C.D.T.” after the name of the individual; or Represent to the public that the individual is a certified dialysis technician. An individual may not practice, attempt to practice, or offer to practice as a certified dialysis technician or a certified medication technician without certification from the Board.
