There is an Office of Statewide Broadband in the Department. The purpose of the Office is to ensure that every resident of the State: is supported in the adoption of reliable, universal, high–quality broadband Internet service at an affordable price; and has the tools necessary to use the Internet and take advantage of Internet resources.
