## Title 10. Regulation of Insurance Professions

### Subtitle 4. Public Adjusters

#### Section 10-403

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle or Sec.Sec. 10-14A-03 and 10-14B-03 of the State Government Article, a person must obtain a license before the person acts as a public adjuster in the State.

(b) Marketing on behalf of a public adjuster, as defined in Sec.?10-401 of this subtitle, does not require a license.

(c) A person that violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or both for each violation.
