In this section the following words have the meanings indicated. “Enrollee” means an individual or member of an association or other private group arrangement entitled to health care services from a health network. “Health care service” has the meaning stated in § 19-701 of the Health - General Article. “Health network” means an entity that: holds a certificate of authority under this article or Title 19, Subtitle 7 of the Health - General Article; and is organized to provide health care services to individuals or an enrolled population in a regional or service area. A health network may not deny health care services to an enrollee on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, religion, national origin, or a protected category under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
