If the Secretary determines that the best interests of the State will be served, the Secretary may: adjust, compromise, or settle any claim or judgment for a contribution, reimbursement payment, or interest assessed against an employing unit; accept a lesser amount; or issue a release of claim or satisfaction of judgment.
