## Title 14. Emergency Management

### Subtitle 8A. National Capital Region Mutual Aid Agreements

#### Section 14-8A-01

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) "Governing body" means:

  (1) the county executive and county council of a charter county with a county executive;

  (2) the county council of a charter county with no county executive;

  (3) the board of county commissioners of a county; or

  (4) the mayor and council, by whatever name known, of a municipal corporation.

(c) "National Capital Region" means the area defined under Sec. 2674(f)(2) of Title 10 of the United States Code, including those counties with a border abutting that area and any municipal corporations in those counties.
