## Title 7. Secretary of State

### Subtitle 1. General Provisions

#### Section 7-102

(a) The Governor may appoint a Deputy Secretary of State.

(b) If the Secretary of State is absent from the seat of the State government or ill, the Deputy Secretary may carry out any duty that is imposed by law on the Secretary.
