## Title 8. Organization of Executive Branch

### Subtitle 1. Governor's Executive Council

#### Section 8-101

In this subtitle, "Council" means the Governor's Executive Council.

#### Section 8-102

There is a Governor's Executive Council.

#### Section 8-103

The Council includes:

(1) the Governor;

(2) the Lieutenant Governor;

(3) the Secretary of State;

(4) the secretary of each principal department of the Executive Branch of the State government;

(5) the State Superintendent of Schools; and

(6) the Secretary of Higher Education.

#### Section 8-104

The purposes of the Council are coordination and effective direction and supervision of the State government.

#### Section 8-105

The Governor may appoint an executive secretary for the Council.
