## Title 26. Vehicle Laws -- Parties and Procedure on Citation, Arrest, Trial, and Appeal

### Subtitle 1. Parties Subject to the Maryland Vehicle Law

#### Section 26-102

(a) A person who owns a vehicle may not require or knowingly permit the operation of the vehicle on a highway in any manner contrary to law.

(b) A person who employs or otherwise directs the driver of a vehicle may not require or knowingly permit the operation of the vehicle on a highway in any manner contrary to law.
