A project shall comply with the Coast Smart Construction Program if it meets the criteria in §B of this regulation. The applicable Coast Smart Construction Program criteria are: The project is a capital project; The project is located within the Coast Smart boundary, as indicated on the Coast Smart Map; The project includes: The construction of a new structure; The reconstruction of a structure with substantial damage; or The construction of a new highway facility; At least 50 percent of the total project costs are funded with state funds; and The total project cost is $500,000 or more.
