Killing, as allowed in Regulation .25 of this chapter, shall be done:
On-site; or
After transport, by:
The permittee;
The local humane society;
The local animal control entity; or
A licensed veterinarian.
Allowed methods of killing birds include:
Barbiturates;
Carbon monoxide or dioxide:
From compressed cylinders;
In a metered chamber; and
With the wildlife damage control operator observing the wildlife and confirming death;
Cervical dislocation;
Decapitation;
Gunshot; and
Inhalant anesthetics.
Allowed methods of killing mammals include:
Barbiturates;
Blunt force trauma;
Carbon dioxide or monoxide:
From compressed cylinders;
In a metered chamber; and
With the wildlife damage control operator observing the wildlife and confirming death;
Cervical dislocation;
Gunshot;
Inhalant anesthetics; and
Penetrating captive bolt.
