### Chapter 16 — Mixed Martial Arts—Professional

#### Regulation .08 Referee.

*COMAR 09.14.16.08*

The referee shall be:

A. The sole arbiter of a mixed martial arts contest; and

B. Other than the senior ringside physician, the only individual authorized to:

  (1) Enter the fighting area at any time during the competition; and

  (2) Stop a contest.
